Headshot software that
works without WiFi
Convention centers, hotel ballrooms, and office basements are all notorious for the same thing. Offline Mode is built for exactly that moment.
Offline Mode keeps the Headshot Queue live queue and job page fully working through a total loss of connectivity — checking clients in, marking sessions done, registering walk-ins — with no setup needed in the moment. Everything queued while offline syncs automatically the instant the connection comes back, including across multiple Pool Mode stations working at once. Preparation happens ahead of time, the first time the job is opened while online.
What happens when the WiFi dies at a 500-person event?
"The queue was on a screen in front of me, the line was fifteen people deep, and the venue's router had just fallen over."
Most session-management software assumes a connection is always there. For a tool built specifically for live events — conference floors, shared hotel WiFi, converted warehouse spaces — that assumption doesn't hold often enough to ignore.
Prepared in advance, resilient in the moment
Two things happen at two different times — before the event, and during a genuine outage.
Preparation happens automatically, in advance
The first time a job's queue page is opened while there's a real connection, a fresh copy of the client list and the page itself are stored securely on the device. Jobs likely to need this are prepared with no action required; anything else has a one-click manual option.
The queue keeps responding through an outage
Checking a client in, marking a session done, registering a new walk-in — all of it keeps working exactly as normal, reading from the copy already stored on the device rather than waiting on a server that isn't reachable.
Everything syncs back the moment it can
Actions taken while offline are replayed against the server the instant a connection returns, in the exact order they happened — so two changes to the same client land in the right final state, not whatever order the network happened to deliver them in.
A real problem gets a real message, not silence
A genuine connectivity gap resolves itself silently, as it should. If something else is actually wrong — a session that expired during a long stretch offline, for instance — the app stops retrying blindly and tells you directly, with a clear choice of what to do next.
Worth knowing plainly
Offline Mode covers the live queue and job page — check-ins, status changes, new registrations. It's built for surviving a real outage during an active session, not as a substitute for reviewing photos or managing account settings without a connection at all.
The offline cache is encrypted on the device, which protects against casual inspection — it isn't a defense against someone with direct physical access to an unlocked device, since decrypting the cache has to be possible with no server to check against while genuinely offline. Worth knowing plainly rather than overstating what any offline encryption can actually promise.
